There Would Be Giants on Brickell
William King was born in Jacksonville, FL in 1925, grew up in Coconut Grove in Miami and later attended the University of Florida before moving to New York City to make a name for himself during the 60's Pop Art movement. We want to bring "him" back with one or more of his monumental abstract human sculptures. Because some of his work reflects "men in suits," we'd like to stick one of his monumentals down on Brickell Ave., the "Wall Street of the South." Mr. King just turned an 89-years-young and you can get a sense of who he is by clicking this link introducing his website.
